"BN Local" Power - Paducah, KY
The power for the "BN Local" (as it's called on the P&L) poses at the Paducah & Louisville's North Yard while it waits for an outbound crew. The "BN Local" comes to Paducah several days a week to interchange with the P&L, and usually runs with exotic power.

Geneva Short General That's exotic, all right - FOUR four-axle BNSF GE units in one set! Great find! 3/3/2012 7:55:41 AM
Wyatt M General I wish theyd get rid of those Dash 8's, just because theyre four axles doesnt mean theyre local power. Thats all you ever see around Galesburg anymore. 4/9/2012 5:06:58 PM
adam wells General They could do like NS and use dash 9 after dash 9 on locals, four axle power is exactly what locals need, that's like saying I wish I didn't see so many high hood sd40's or gp50's, ridiculous. I hope they do get rid of them and they end up close to me, you can have the sorry @ss looking new units. 4/10/2012 2:22:23 PM
Dave Curtis General Wow! A 4-axle wide-cab!?! I believe that's a first for me! 5/16/2012 10:57:26 PM
